Having a ‘skin routine’ is one of those things that lets me trick myself into believing that I’m a real life adult with my shit together. The reality is, those teenage days of a quick scrub with a baby wipe and maybe a scoop of my mum’s Clinique moisturiser if I was feeling fancy are gone and waking up with eyes glued together by BarryM (good times, good times) mascara just don’t cut it anymore.

Deciding to venture into a new salon is no easy feat; the relationship that one builds with both their locks and their stylist is a marriage of sorts, nurtured over time and resting upon a mutual understanding that we do not mention The Fringe of 2008. I’ve never been one to bother too much with my hair, in fact when getting ready for a night out it’s usually the thing that I often fret over a bit, give up and attack quickly with the GHD’s. Usually for me, a blow dry is something that consists of a quick blast with a hair dryer when I finish at the gym so I don’t turn into Elsa from Frozen on the way home. So when Duck & Dry invited me in to try out the newest branch of their boutique updo and blow dry bar I was pretty excited!
