I’m not a total beauty junkie, I just really like products. I like swatching them and sniffing them and slathering them all over myself in the hope that I’ll wake up looking like Megan Fox. I’ve always loved playing with lotions and potions and often used to break into my mum’s cosmetics stash and leave her room looking like an oompa-loompa after a heavy night out. Okay: I am a total beauty junkie.
Last week I had the pleasure of being invited along to a Pro Masterclass at Bobbi Brown’s first Pro Studio in London’s Soho. The evening was led by Pro make up artist Aimee Morrison who demonstrated to a roomful of eager bloggers sipping on adorable mini Moëts how to create the ultimate day-to-night Autumn Winter look. It’s not very often that I blog about an event but this one was so jam packed with tricks of the trade and fabulous pieces that I want to shout from the rooftops about that it would’ve been greedy not to share!
Having a ‘skin routine’ is one of those things that lets me trick myself into believing that I’m a real life adult with my shit together. The reality is, those teenage days of a quick scrub with a baby wipe and maybe a scoop of my mum’s Clinique moisturiser if I was feeling fancy are gone and waking up with eyes glued together by BarryM (good times, good times) mascara just don’t cut it anymore.
